What would you do?

What is more important? Staying at home and tidying up the house or going out at the drop of a hat? Well, I had to get up this morning to take the kids to school, as Richard needed Colin's car for a traffic count this morning. Michael took Colin to work, and as he now drives a bakkie, they couldn't take the kids with. I left the house in my dressing gown and slippers (it is still dark you know!) and took them to school. Robyn wanted to know what I would do if the car broke down, but I decided to take the chance! Came home, put a load of washing on and climbed back into bed with a book. You can't do that when you are fully dressed!

I phoned a friend last night to confirm our breakfast date for this morning, but couldn't get hold of her. Thus, I got back into bed with the knowledge that she could phone anytime. She phoned at 08H00 and I had to decide the above. Stay at home or go out?? You are quite right, I jumped in the shower, did my make-up and left!! We had a very pleasant breakfast and a lovely catch up chat as we haven't been able to for a while. I left her house with just enough time to pick Robyn up after school and then came home. I looked at the house as I walked in and decided that it was all well worth it! The house can be tidied up anytime! Just hope the washing dries as the weather is now a bit overcaust.

Birthday breakfast

Stefanie and I went for breakfast yesterday morning. We both like eggs benedict, so we decided to go to this specific restaurant, as theirs are very good! I asked Stef to take her little camera with so that I could have some photos. We asked the waiter to take this photo:

A picture of the eggs benedict:
They were as delicious as they look! And no breakfast will be complete without a decaf latte:
We had a great time together! Thanks Stef!
Will post the dinner photos later, and a photo of our delicious pudding!

Sweet thing!

I bought this "nest" for Jamie last year in winter, because they can sleep in it and then obviously be warmer in winter. Anyway, I had to put sunflower seeds into the bag to get her to actually go into it and she never slept in it. It now hangs on the side of her cage and she loves crawling into it. It looks very fun as you sometimes see this little head appearing, or at other times you can see her tail! She has totally destroyed the bottom of the bag, but it is so cute to see her in action that I actually don't mind!

I am going for my normal Wednesday breakfast with my mom and afterwards I want to go to Stodels to go and buy some petunias to give the garden some colour. And then of course look to see what they have on sale! So far most of the plants in the garden is stuff we bought on sale and the garden is coming on nicely.

My day

Had a pretty good day today! I had breakfast with my mom while Robyn and a friend went shopping at Tygervalley. I spent some time with Robyn yesterday shopping and what a performanh.ce! She looks at everything before she decides to buy and her taste is just as expensive as mine! Much easier giving her the money and letting her shop with a friend. My mom and I had a lovely morning. We also walked around and did some window shopping and ended it all with tea at Dulce. Afterwards we met the girls and came home. Oh yes, picked up Robyn's boy "friend" from church and he spent the afternoon with us. It is amazing how mature the Grade 8 girls are and how boyish the boys are! Anyway, he seems okay.

I went of this afternoon to have more photos developed for scrapping tomorrow and then took a photo of a nightie in the window at Temptations to "tempt" Colin with as we are going off to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary next weekend. Showed it to him and he rather likes it! Maybe I will still go and buy it before we go. The two of us also went to gym as Discovery will cancell our membership if we go less than twice per month. Swiped in, sat down and had a smoothie, and then left again! Best workout I had in years!
