Well, I am happy to report that our pool is once again blue! A bit of a murky blue, but blue nevertheless! And no, we did not follow the Hypermarkets advice, I took a sample of the water to a poolshop that I discovered has been in our area for a looong time! The lady their is pretty good and sorted our pool out for us. We are all very happy!
Colin asked me to water the garden this morning as Andrew did SOMETHING to the sprinkler and it doesn't want to work no more (not my little darling!). It was so great being outside between all the green plants and such a perfect place and time to speak to the Lord. I think I must do it more often!
I had a rather frustrating day yesterday. Went to gym again for the first time in 3 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed it, until I got home and realised that I am getting old, because as the day went by I felt all kinds of aches in pains in strange places! After that it was of to fetch Richard at shcool and then the 2 of us had to be at the dentist at 16H00. What a stressfull thing! Fortunately my teeth were fine and I can relax for another year! Took Robyn and Andrew on Wednesday, Robyn needed one filling and that was sorted out quickly, but Andrew is another story. He needs two fillings and one extraction, and being the anxious kid that he is, has to have the work done under aneastetic (sorry, can't spell). That is happening on 6 March.
In the meantime Richard has been rather sick for the past 2 weeks. Has gastritis that just won't get better and has to go for a gastroscopy (again, I can't spell) on Tuesday, so please pray for him! And of course being in matric his mommy is forcing him to go to school. He just can not afford to miss any more classes than he absolutely has to! Specially with the "sport" being over for a while and the school is now eventually teaching the kids again!

What a day!
Well, we are finally back from holiday and it has been rather an eventfull couple of days. We came home to a VERY GREEN pool and are battling to get it blue again. At least Colin didn't say I told you so! Anybody with some good advise out there? Andrew keeps on insisting that we buy some Blue 52, but we have invested such a lot of money in HTH already that we just can't do that. Anyway, I am sure we will be able to swim again soon, specially in this heat! Langebaan was definitely much cooler as the wind blows like crazy!
Robyn decided to cook supper tonight and she is still busy, hoping to eat before 9. I must admit that it is very nice when your kids start taking an interest in cooking, because it makes my life much easier, not liking to cook etc.
Scruffy was very happy to see me when we got home - dogs are really a mans best friend!
Can't wait for the kids to go back to school on Wednesday though, just imagine I can have some peace and quiet!
Oh yes, last but not least, we went and joined Virgin Active at Cape Gate today - I actually can't wait to start doing water aerobics. Something to look forward to!

A new ring
I know it has been quite some time since my last blog, but ..... I actually can't think of any excuses, so please forgive me. It has been a busy past week, with lots of Christmas shopping and just being on holiday. I took the kids to go and watch "Surfs Up", very cute, and other than that it was just rushing around. I bought that new pillow that Homemark is advertising, you know the one with the soft springs? Anyway, I haven't slept properly for two nights - since we bought it of course! Thinking of taking it back ..... I am a very miserable creature when I don't get enought sleep! The good news is that we are basically finished with our shopping!
I have been wanting a new wedding ring for quite a while now, a diamond ring set in white and yellow gold. Well ..... I finally got it on Wednesday and I am very happy with it!!! Now I can wear it with both gold and silver jewellery - very important you know!
I've had a few swims in our pool and I am really glad that we got it, it is just so lovely being able to go into my own back garden to swim, and not to have to schlep all the way to the other side of Brackenfell. And obviously it is very private - nobody around to see my wobbly bits!
Colin will be on holiday from tomorrow afternoon - GREAT!!! I really enjoy having him at home!
